Oh my goodness—it was 47° here at
7:30 this morning!! We had to dig out our long sleeved shirts again. Sure glad
I didn’t pack them away with my winter coat. We may have to turn the heat on in
our condo before this day is over. This is definitely not what we came to
southwest Florida for—but it is a sight better than the -4° my son, Tim, had in
Mt. Airy, Maryland.
We ventured out to find some other
things to do today. We crossed a road named America Outdoors Boulevard and I am
curious to see where it leads.
Yes, Virginia, there is a Bass Pro
Shop in Fort Myers! And we found that it was a good place to warm up.
One of the displays in the store
seemed a perfect place to hide a geocache.
We went to the early bird movie,
“Saving Mr. Banks” and we thought it was really good. I don’t think I saw more
than 5 people who were under 50 years of age. While sitting in the stadium type
seats, I saw only the tops of many gray/white heads. It looked like a theater
filled with Q-tips!
After the show was over, we went
into a huge Joann Fabric shop where I purchased some yarn to work on a project
during my downtime.
I felt like we traveled all over the
eastern and mid-western states and parts of Canada today because we saw many vehicles
with license plates from just about all of those states. So far, we have seen
only one other license tag from Maryland. Florida has several specialty tags
and here is one that I especially like.
While we were driving around, we did
take time to find two more geocaches. I remain amazed at how many geocaches are
placed just about everywhere we go.
Back again to our home away from
home and we were almost wishing that this condo had a fireplace. We have seen
firewood for sale at Walmart. The Duck Dynasty throw that I received as a
Christmas gift felt really good. We found some Duck Dynasty wine to go along
with it.
There might be some rain here tomorrow, but with a high temperature predicted to be 72°, I think we will manage very well.

How many years does a duck have to age to make a good batch of wine? Y'all are tooooo much! :)
