We woke up to rain showers on Wednesday and stayed around to condo most of the day. One of us did a lot of reading and the other had a nice long, long, long nap.
We had a FaceTime video/call with Corrine and she showed us the new 4" of snow they received overnight.
Boy, is it raining here today (Thursday). It started last night and has not stopped all day. We ventured out to run some errands. We stopped at Staples to pick up a portable hard drive to back up data on the laptop. It doesn't have the flu, but it is sick. Cordell took it to to geek shop for repairs. So the blog is now being written and posted from the iPad.
We also stopped by our favorite stores--Publix, Walmart and CVS. Publix had a covered semicircle area made for drop off and pickup. It was especially handy during this rain.
It was a little strange to see this snowy egret perched on a car in the parking lot. Maybe it got flooded out from its usual place. We did see some canals that were filled with water.
Cordell went to The Hair Cuttery for a hair cut today as we could not convince Karen (our regular hair cutting person) to fly to Florida to give us a hair cut. He learned that this is their busy season.
Tonight, I had a phone conversation with my cousin who lives in Bentonville, VA , which is situated in the mountains near Front Royal. He told me when he left home this morning the temperature outside was -4 degrees and by the time he arrived at work, it was 5 below. So, I can't complain about our rainy day. We invited him and he wife to spend a week here with us in Fort Myers and they were very happy to accept.
There is a Super Moon or Black Moon tonight, but it will not be visible to us. We have missed seeing sunsets for the past two nights.
