Friday January 31st - Rain, Sunshine and More Rain.

It was still raining this morning and we couldn't think of anything to do outside. It was a good time for us to work on our Bible study lessons. Even though we are far away from our church, we are able to keep up with our Beautiful Feet Monday night class.

Shortly before noon, the rain stopped and a rabbit was hopping around our yard. We figure it must know something so we decided to venture out and find a geocache for this day.

We thought we would go find a puzzle cache that we had worked on to find the final coordinates.  But, when we arrived at the site, we did not find the cache. Now, we are not sure we calculated it correctly.

We moved on to another cache which was placed by one of our favorite cache owners whose geocaching identity is Pilot Searcher. However, we did not do very well on this one either as the site had been completely excavated. All the trees were gone and the cache was supposed to be on a tree. We sent a message and pictures to the cache owner. He asked us to the log a find, noting that we were the last to find it and that he would replace the cache, if possible.

We continued on and found another cache before stopping for lunch. We had a wonderful lunch at a small cafe we saw on our way to run a few errands.

I think my smart phone is a smart aleck because sometimes it seems to do whatever it wants. Today, it decided all by itself to take photos in black and white instead of in color.

After stopping by CVS to pick up some perscriptions, returned to our condo and went for a bike ride so we could get our exercise for the day. Surprise, surprise--there just "happened" to be a couple of caches on the way.

We rode 5 1/2 miles round trip and walked 1/2 mile. On our return trip, it began to rain a bit.

While we were riding, we received a FaceTime call from Janelle. We're not sure if there are any laws about video phone calls while biking, but we made arrangements to call her back after we settled back in the condo. She played the music on her piano that she will be playing in a recital that we are going to miss.

We ate pizza for dinner and we stayed in for the night. No sunset to watch again. Sigh.
