We spent a quiet morning at the
condo while we wrote a blog post and logged our geocache finds from yesterday. Cordell heard a noise and when he looked outside, he was surprised to see the MetLife blimp flying by.
After lunch we set off on another
geocaching adventure. Since the sky was mostly cloudy, we dressed in our jeans
and long sleeved shirts. However, the sun came out and as the temperature rose,
we got hotter and hotter. We found an easy solution to that problem—we stopped
in a Target where I bought a short sleeved shirt and Cordell bought shorts! We put
them on and were very comfortable for the remainder of the day.
We saw evidence that the farmers do
make hay when the sun shines in Florida.
We have noted that we have not seen
many aggressive drivers in Southwest Florida. We don’t know if that is because
the people that are here at this time are nicer or if it is because so many of
them are advanced in age.
We went to Fleamasters Flea Market
late this afternoon. This huge facility has over 900 retail stores—most all of them
under a roof. The aisle ways are divided by colors that are painted on the
floors. I picked up a 55 page guide and the ads contain directions to the
sellers by color and number.
We didn’t stay long enough to see
every section, but what I did see led me to believe that just about everything
can be found at one stall or another.
After we left the flea market, we
stopped at Red Lobster for an early dinner and then back to the condo for a
restful evening at home.
